  7.   Scheduling of multiple dialers has been rewritten and given to the sched
  8.   program.  This will increase the dialer's efficiency and decrease duplicate
  9.   dialing.

  11.   A new version of the web CGI program (webgate.exe) is included.  It supports
  12.   drop-down lists on web pages generated by PageGate
  13.  
  14.   Improved error handling to compensate for some bugs in the Microsoft Jet
  15.   database engine

  50. *** Here are some important file name changes in PageGate ***

  52. File Name Changes: (since version 1.4)
  53.  
  54.   PageGate's main database file has been changed from pgedb.mdb to
  55.   pagegate.mdb.  It usually resides in the PageGate program directory.
  56.  
  57.   The mailbox format file (.mbf) used with the Mdaemon mail server has been
  58.   changed from notepage.mbf to pagegate.mbf.  It resides in the \mdaemon\app
  59.   directory
  60.  
  61.   The web interface's cgi program's name has changed from web2mail.exe to
  62.   webgate.exe.  It may reside in the \inetpub\cgi-bin directory or any other
  63.   directory you setup.

  65.   All of the above should be handled automaticaly by PageGate upgrade routine.  Please let me know if you have a problem with this.

  67.   NotePager Net's executeable file has changed from NotePagerNet.exe to
  68.   NPNet.exe.

  70.   The new sendpage program for the commandline/ascii interface is
  71.   sendpage.exe.  It's syntax is displayed if it is run without any commandline
  72.   options.

  74.   Anyone that is updating the database directly should be sure to take notice
  75.   of the name change.  In addition PageGate now uses Microsoft's latest
  76.   database engine (the files are part of the download and automatically
  77.   installed).  This may be a problem if you application is written to use an
  78.   older version of MS Access.

  81. Upgrade Information:
  82.  
  83.   If you are upgrading from an earlier version of PageGate, please use the
  84.   following procedure:
  85.  
  86.   1)  Make a full backup of your installation!!!
  87.  
  88.   2)  Uninstall the old version of PageGate by using the 'Add/Remove Programs'
  89.       option in the Windows control panel.  This will uninstall the program
  90.       files, but will leave the data files intact.
  91.  
  92.   3)  Install PageGate Version 2 using the instructions above.  Be sure to
  93.       specify the same installation directory for version 2 that was used by
  94.       the earlier version of PageGate.
  95.  
  96.   4)  Run pgadmin.exe (PageGate's Admin program) from PageGate's program
  97.       directory.  This will upgrade PageGate's database file without starting
  98.       the other modules.

  100.   5)  Quit out of PageGate and then start it as usual.
